Selima Morrow (she/her)

Director of Community Partnerships at Point Source Youth.

Selima Morrow, LMSW, is an advocate for justice and equity for vulnerable and marginalized communities. Selima has been working with special populations for over 30 years; she has focused her work on helping youth and youth-led families who are experiencing homelessness gain access to housing, mental/ medical care, education, and employment as ways to encourage self-sufficiency and stability. Selima passionately supports the needs of QTBIPOC youth who are experiencing homelessness, trauma, and mental illness through a trauma-sensitive model. 

As a direct service advocate and program director, Selima has been instrumental in developing, implementing, and evaluating federal and state housing programs. Her contributions include Emergency/ Bridge Housing, Transitional Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and Permanent Supportive Housing, all of which have made a significant impact on the lives of those she serves. 

Selima holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University and obtained her Master’s of Social Work from Clark Atlanta University with a focus on Health/Mental Health. 

She currently works for Point Source Youth as the Director of Community Partnerships. In this role, she nurtures relationships and builds programmatic capacity and development for youth-serving organizations. Her work is based on using resources and power to end youth homelessness in this country. 

One of Selima's most fulfilling roles is being a mother. Her daughter, Storm King, is an amazing community organizer who shares Selima's passion for community care and support. This personal connection to her work underscores Selima’s deep commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
