Leisha McKinley-Beach (she/her)

National HIV/AIDS Consultant

A graduate of the University of West Florida and the University of Florida...Go Gators!!, Leisha McKinley-Beach has been a fixture in the field of communicable diseases for almost 30 years. Some of her work includes leading the largest mobilization initiative to date in Florida, Sistas Organizing to Survive (S.O.S.) where over 100,000 black women are tested annually for HIV. Additionally, she was instrumental in developing the first PrEP program in a southern health department, occurring at Fulton County Health Department.

She currently serves as a National HIV Prevention Consultant with several health departments and organizations. In this role Leisha provides capacity building assistance and training for health departments, PrEP training for providers serving Black populations, Black women initiatives, and the facilitation for local health planning coalitions.

In her free time, Mrs. McKinley-Beach enjoys creating content for the June 2020 launch of her podcast on HIV, Ending HIV for Humanity Everywhere (EHE), preparing her daughter for the takeover of her public health empire, spending time with her husband and singing.
